Features. Opened in 2008, the Intercontinental San Francisco
hotel is housed within a 32-story translucent, cool-blue glass
tower that ascends over the South of Market district. The hotel's
restaurant, Luce, serves California-influenced American fare and
Italian cuisine prepared with California ingredients. By night,
the restaurant transforms into a celebrity wine restaurant. Bar
888, located in the lobby, serves cocktails, wines and spirits.
A total of 39 flexible function rooms includes two ballrooms.
The largest function space accommodates 1,000 people. Wireless
Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. A 24-hour
business center offers photocopy, print, fax and administrative
services. I-Spa massage therapists offer a range of treatments
from Swedish and deep tissue to Thai massages and hydrotherapy.
The spa contains a Vichy shower, a sauna, a spa tub and an outdoor
terrace. The 24-hour health club features a wellness center, an
indoor pool and a spa tub. The fitness center contains cardiovascular
and weight-training equipment, and free weights.
Guestrooms.
This smoke-free property offers 550 contemporary guestrooms with
floor-to-ceiling windows that frame city views. Rooms are appointed
with rich wood furnishings and marble accents. Poppy-hued armchairs
and ottomans brighten neutral color schemes. Beds feature pillowtop
mattresses draped with 350-thread count linens. Rooms include
42-inch plasma televisions, iPod connections, and high-speed wired
and wireless Internet access for a fee.
